Bengaluru and Goa in action as Dehli partner with Rooter and Kerala release new video

Indian Super League News

The preseason match between Bengaluru FC and East Bengal was eagerly anticipated, the first of two matches in the next three days. Both managers fielded all-Indian starting XI’s, with the foreign stars joining the action later in the match.

Randomly, the match was divided into three halves of 30 minutes for reasons nobody really knows. Anyway, East Bengal took the lead early through Surrabudin and it was the Venezuelan star Miku who netted a late equaliser for the ISL side Bengaluru.

They get to do it all again on the 27th.

FC Goa managed to win for a second consecutive outing against lower level Spanish side CD Algar. You can see highlights below, but FC Goa look like they are nearing readiness for the season to get underway.

Dehli Dynamos have teamed up with sports app Rooter to increase their levels of fan engagement. Considering that most football fans spend their matchdays using their mobile phones rather than watching the action, this makes perfect sense.

Rooter’s CEO had this to say, which we are pretty certain wasn’t repeated verbatim from when they announced a similar deal with Mumbai.

“The ISL has been a revelation in popularizing football amongst sports enthusiasts in India, and teams such as Delhi Dynamos have played a significant role in creating a solid fan base for the sport. Through our association with Delhi Dynamos, we are looking forward to expanding and strengthening the bond between the club and its fans through innovative in-app features such as live match prediction, quizzes, trivia, contests and expert insights. With Rooter, Dynamos fans will get a chance to remain virtually connected with their favorite team and like-minded enthusiasts on a platform that guarantees unparalleled engagement and a highly rewarding experience.”

Dynamos’ CEO, Asish Shah, was equally unable to contain his excitement.

“As a football club, it is important to keep the fans engaged throughout the course of the season and Delhi Dynamos is glad that Rooter will be helping us in this cause. The app will help the fans in getting more in-depth knowledge of how their stars performed on the field and in addition it gives the club an opportunity to connect with a wider base of audience who share their love for Delhi Dynamos”

Kerala Blasters, still in Marbella, are feeling so confident they’ve released this video to the masses. The team owned by Sachin Tendulkar hope to go one better this season and win the title.
