Since the birth of the Indian Super League in 2013, fans across the country have witnessed several exceptional players who have set the football field on fire. Talented and explosive goal-scorers have stood out from the rest by making the league more competitive and entertaining. We have listed the 5 top scorers of the ISL below.

5. Bartholomew Ogbeche – 27 Goals

The Nigerian international joined North East United F.C. in the 2018-19 and scored 12 goals in just 17 games in his first season. His goal rampage did not stop when he decided to move to Kerala Blasters F.C. in the 2019-20 season. The 35-year-old scored 15 goals, taking his total goal tally to 27. He has maintained an amazing goal per game ratio of 0.79.

4. Iain Hume – 28 Goals

Iain Hume took goal-scoring to another level when he joined Kerala Blasters F.C. in 2014. Although he only managed to bag 5 goals in 16 appearances in his initial season, the Canadian scored a total of 18 goals in the next two seasons after his move to Atlético de Kolkata. In the 2017-18 season, he returned to Kerala Blasters F.C. and scored 5 goals in 13 games. In his last season in the ISL, he played for Pune City and scored 1 goal in 10 games.

3. Marcelinho Leite Pereira – 31 Goals

Marcelinho stepped into the ISL in the 2015-16 season and added the much-needed Brazilian flavour of football into it. He scored 10 goals in his initial season for Odisha FC and moved to FC Pune City in the next season. He stayed at Pune for 2 seasons and scored 14 goals. In the 2019-20 season, he played for Hyderabad FC and scored  goals in 17 games. He has a goal per game ratio of 0.49.

2. Sunil Chhetri – 39 Goals

The only Indian in this list, Sunil Chhetri is a name known to every football fan in India. The national team top-scorer and skipper joined Mumbai City F.C. in the 2014-15 season and scored 7 goals in 11 games. He played just 6 games in the next season and could not manage to find the net. In the 2017-18 season, he scored 14 goals for Bengaluru F.C. He scored 9 goals each in the next two seasons for Bengaluru. Having played 74 games in the league, he has a goal per game ratio of 0.53.

1. Ferrán Corominas- 48 Goals

Popularly known as Coro, the 37-year-old Spaniard has topped the list of ISL top-scorers. The striker has managed to score 48 goals in just 3 seasons. He joined FC Goa in the 2017-18 season and scored 18 goals in 20 games. His impressive run continued in the next season, as he scored 16 goals in 20 games. In the 2019-20 season, he bagged 14 goals in just 17 games. He has an astonishing goals per game ratio of 0.84.
